ABOUT LWCA
Living Word Christian Academy was founded in 1999 by Living Word Ministries and its Pastor, Dr. Richard E. Mallette, now-retired. In 2000 the school moved to the new facilities of Living Word Ministries at 225 Meloy Road, West Haven, Connecticut. LWCA continues to be sustained by the generous support of Living Word Ministries and its Board of Directors.
LWCA has been a member of the Association of Christian Schools International since 1999 and is now accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Independent Schools Commission. The school was awarded full accreditation on December 3, 2009.
Living Word Christian Academy currently maintains a state-licensed daycare program, Discovery Christian Preschool, consisting of nursery school for three and four year olds and pre-kindergarten for four and five year olds. The elementary school division encompasses grades K through five.

The following truths are held in common agreement by members of Living Word Christian Academy:
We believe the Bible to be the divine, inspired, and infallible Word of God, ultimately authoritative in all matters of life (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three personalities: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:4-6).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the son of God, born of a virgin. He worked miracles, lived a sinless life which He willingly submitted unto death, the death of the cross where He shed His blood for the remission of sins and our redemption to God. He was buried, bodily resurrected, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and He will personally return gloriously in power as the King of Kings and as Supreme Judge (1 Corinthians 15:3; 1 Peter 2:21-24; John 3:16).
We believe that the only means of cleansing from sin and total salvation is through repentance, faith in the Blood of Christ, complete commitment to Christ as Savior and Lord, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit (Romans 3:21-30; Galatians 4:4-7).
We believe in the Baptism in and the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whom the Christian believer is empowered to live a victorious and Holy life (Acts 2:1-4, 10:44-46; 19:2, 6; 1:8; 2:42, 43; Matthew 3:11; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
We believe in the resurrection of all people, believers will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, and unbelievers will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment.
Living Word Christian Academy is a private Christian school that exists to educate boys and girls in pre-k through grade 5. Our goal is to equip students with the skills necessary to meet the challenges and crises of today’s culture head-on. We do this by providing each student with:
