Our experienced faculty addresses every developmental domain throughout the course of the day. Daily and weekly activities and curriculum objectives are designed to enhance children’s skills and encourage skill development in each domain through directed activity, exploration, interaction, and self-expression.
We love the amazing academics and the variety of specials. I can’t believe my preschool child has music, art, and gym. We love the morning chapel. What a great way to start the day!

Dress
Children are allowed to wear comfortable and washable play clothes. We would like children not to wear clothes with cartoon characters or similar advertising. Girls wearing dresses or skirts, should wear a pair of shorts or tights underneath in order to maintain their modesty and privacy. Footwear should be sneakers or shoes that enable safe running and play.
Daily Snack
We have snack every morning around 9:30. Children are asked to bring their own healthy snacks and drinks each day. We will have snack every day, even during half days and delayed openings (due to bad weather). If your child does not finish their snack, we will have them wrap up the remainder of the snack and send it home to you. This way you will know how much your child ate that day.
Hot Lunch
We eat lunch at 12:00 in our classrooms. Our hot lunch program is managed by the Board of Education of the City of West Haven and includes qualification for free and reduced pricing. If you do not choose the hot lunch program please make sure to send everything your child needs for their lunch in its own container or lunch bag, labeled with the child’s name. Again, we will have the children wrap up anything they do not finish to take home.
Quiet Rest Time
Each day, the children will have rest time in the afternoon. After lunch, we will read a story, have bathroom breaks and then have rest time. Rest time is usually from 12:30 until 2:30. The children can rest with their pillow, blanket and a stuffed animal, if they would like. They will be resting on cots in different areas around the classroom. While they are lying down quietly, soft music or a story on tape will be playing, and the lights will be turned off. Usually most children will fall asleep during this time. After rest time, the children will put their rest things back into their cubbies. Their rest things will stay at school in their cubbies. We will send their items home to be laundered and sent back on a periodic basis. If your child has a blanket or stuffed animal that they cannot be without, it can be brought home every day and brought back the next day.
Scheduling is Flexible! We Are Open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm All Year.
Our program accommodates what you want for your child. Full time school-length day to 3:00 or long day to 5:30; part time schedules such as mornings only or select days- all are available.
